Open: Mid-May to November

Located on the Iron County Recreation Trail three blocks North of downtown Crystal Falls.  The campground features a modern shower/restroom facility, dump station and 50 amp electric.  Abundant wildlife inhabit the 34 acres of natural bluffs, hills and forest along the Paint River.  Enjoy visiting a full-size authentic Ojibwa wigwam and hiking the circular half-mile interpretive trail.  Open mid-May through November.  Phone (866) 303-3980 or visit our website at www.prhcamp.com

Paint River Hills Campground is located 3 blocks East of US-2 on M-69 just North of M-69 in downtown Crystal Falls, Michigan.    It sits on 36 acres of scenic bluffs along the Paint River and has access to the Iron County Recreation Trail.  It features a modern shower building, sleeping cabins, RV and tent sites.

The campground offers one of the most unique hiking trails in the Midwest.  The half-mile loop trail includes multilingual tree identification markers featuring the native Ojibwe language. 

In 2003 an Ojibwa wigwam was constructed in the campground and is the subject of a documentary entitled ??Earl??s Wigwam??.  Produced by Northern Michigan University, the Hannahville Indian School, and local Ojibwe Native, Earl Otchingwanigan, the documentary is available for purchase.  For additional information on Earl's Wigwam see "News & Comments".
