Just 2 miles down the road is Buena Vista State Forest. It has many logging trails and roads for hiking, 4 wheeling, or snowmobiling.
Another 2 miles down the road is Castle Highlands Golf Course. This is an 18 hole golf course and provides some of the best golfing in the Bemidji area. This year attend Country Fest 06 June 22-24 right here at the Castle Highlands Golf Course sponsored by the Turtle Creek Saloon!!
Just 7 miles down the road to Blackduck; on the last week in July is the annual Blackduck Woodcarvers Festival, a must see for anyone visiting the area.
