  • Local Things to Do!

Make Long Beach your destination . .  Lewis & Clark did.

Come and visit us in Long Beach, a destination resort community located on the Long Beach Peninsula.  This territory marks the most north-westerly point reached by the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805.

Visit the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and experience the adventure.

Also visit the Ilwaco Heritage Museum and see their Lewis & Clark exhibit.

Enjoy Kite Flying and the World Kite Museum, volleyball, picnicking, Horseback Riding, beach combing, fishing in our fresh water lakes, streams or enjoy an Ocean Charter.  Take in some Razor Clam Digging, storm watching, bike riding, amusement rides, go-carts, video arcades, bumper boats, Bird Watching, other Amusements and traditional beach fare.

There are also several antique shops, along with our famous Boardwalk, paved Discovery Trail and a nice variety of Art Galleries, restaurants and Gift Stores.

Check out the Farmer's Market in Ilwaco on Saturdays.

Don't forget to stop in and see Jake the Alligator Man at Marsh's Free Museum or to enjoy some traditional Elephant Ears from one of our local treat vendors.

Come and enjoy a traditional NPRA Sanctioned Rodeo, hosted by the Peninsula Saddle Club in July.

The beach takes flight during the Annual Washington State International Kite Festival held in August.

Don't miss the Annual Rod Run to the End of the World in mid September.
