Lodge Amenities

There are two hot tubs, one inside and one outside. Also on the grounds, are the guest laundry room and meeting room. The meeting room is great for family reunions and special events.

Outdoor Recreation

The Ute Bluff Lodge is located on 17 1/2 acres bordering the Rio Grande National Forest. Directly across Highway 160 is the Rio Grande River, where gold medal fishing is available. Fishing is always excellent either in the rivers or in the lakes, within walking distance or a 15 minute drive.

You can hike, bike or ATV on mountain trails, horseback ride, drive our scenic byways, or just sit outside your cabin or room and enjoy the cool clean air. We offer Stay and Play Golf Packages. Day trips to Mesa Verde, the Sand Dunes, Creede, and Lake City are close at hand, as are some local waterfalls and the Narrow Gauge trains of Durango or Antonito. Whatever you decide, you can enjoy the great outdoors, as well as viewing the wildlife.

Elk and deer hunting seasons are popular in the South Fork area and the Ute Bluff Lodge sits between the Southwest game units of 76, 79 & 80. Hunters staying as our guests can walk onto unit 80 from the property. Game poles and plenty of pickup truck and trailer parking are available.

During the winter, the Wolf Creek Ski Area averages over 400 inches of snow each year. Most of the flakes that fall are the type of powder other ski areas dream about. We have great ski packages available that include lift tickets.
